Barnes & Noble Partners with Another E-Book Device Company

The New York Times is reporting that Netherlands-based IRex Technologies
is partnering with Barnes & Noble for its e-book reader, which
increases the competition for the Amazon/Kindle platform.  Barnes &
Noble has already partnered with PlasticLogic, which will launch its
e-book device in 2010.

The IRex e-book reader, to be released
later this year, claims to offer a larger screen than the standard
Kindle device as well as a touch screen.  Also, IRex is reporting that
it plans to release color screen versions in 2011, and consumers can
purchase the iRex devices both online and in retail stores.
