YouTube Adds Direct Linking Within Video is reporting that you can now directly link to different portions of a YouTube video by adding a snippet of code at the end of a URL string.  The snippet of code is just the time in minutes and seconds into the video (the spot of interest within the video).

I hope YouTube turns this into something broader, like chapter markers, which would work great with its recent addition of text annotations.  Until then, you could always embed in your web page and then add a series of links to manually create ‘chapters’.
